This page (and all other pages) can be created and edited by you. You would enter your welcome text and possibly a few images on this page. If you are unsure about using the visual editor, we’ll be happy to put the basics together for you and you can fine tune them as you go.
One of the great features of using the WordPress development platform is the ability to create/edit pages and preview them whilst saving them in “draft” mode. This means that you don’t have to actually publish the page (go live) until you are 100% happy with it.
Once you get used to using the visual editor, which is based upon the Microsoft Word editor, you’ll soon be creating pages and sub-pages that look really professional. If you can create documents with Word, you can create pages on this site with no problem. Click the image below to view the Page Editor in a pop-up “LightBox”.
You can choose whether to have the pages automatically added to your chosen menu, or you can arrange the menu system manually.
The advanced image management system allows you to upload your own images and resize them “on the fly” for insertion into your pages. You can also add tables, links and even Flash technology if you wish. You can also choose whether to have your images open in a “LightBox”, as seen above and below to enable visitors to view the full size image.
The page editor forms part of the Administration Area (Control Panel). From here you run your entire operation. The dashboard shown below will be populated with things to help you run your site. These might include Google Analytics Stat’s, Social Media Interaction, A “Quick Tweet” button, or any number of other special tools to make running your site a breeze.
If you really want to get proficient with the WordPress system, there are many books and video’s out there to teach you all the advanced information, along with a good few applications for iPhone and other smart phones. There is even an app’ for updating your blog from your smart phone, which puts you totally in control wherever you may be.
So, now you can see how easy it is to customise and operate the actual look and feel of the site, so now we’ll move on to the real point of the matter; your subscriptions, and more importantly how you will post information and what you will charge.
